The first run Kings is over but the second run has began to show up with some nice catches of 50 pound kings.

The first run of King salmon is over and the second run has yet to begin. The Sockeye salmon is beginning to show up in good numbers.

Saltwater fishing in Homer and Ninilchik has finally began to produce some large halibut. This week some lucky fisherman caught a 398 pound halibut

 
Russian River

The Russian river is slow but the second run of Sockeye has began to surge towards the Russian and should arrive around the 15th. The rainbow trout fishing has been excellent on the upper Kenai.
