Commercial Fishing Setnetting
Previous | Home | NextEd's grandson Mike continues the family tradition in commercial fishing. Mike is harvesting Sockeye Salmon from the waters of Cook Inlet. The majority of Wild Salmon that are harvested in Alaska are caught in nets. The total catch is managed to ensure enough escapement of salmon up the river for future generations.
