Egg Roll Recipe |
| Recipe Ingredients:
- 12-15 Egg Roll Wrappers
- Oil for Deep Frying
- 1/2 lb. Shrimp, cleaned/deveined
- 2 cups Celery, diced
- 1 cup Water Chestnuts
- 1/2 cup Bean Sprouts
- 1/2 cup Cabbage, shredded
- 1/2 cup Lettuce, shredded
- 1 Carrot, shredded
- 1 tbsp. Water
- 1 tbsp. Sherry
- 1 tsp. Sugar
- 1 tsp. Ginger
- 1/2 tsp. Cornstarch
- 1/8 tsp. Salt
- 1/8 tsp. Pepper
- 3 tbsp. Oil

Recipe Preparation:
In a small bowl combine shrimp, sherry, salt, pepper,
ginger and cornstarch; stir well. Allow shrimp to marinade
for 30 minutes. Add 1 tbsp. of oil to a large skillet
and cook shrimp until done; remove shrimp from skillet.
Add celery, sugar and water to skillet and cook until
liquid evaporates. Add all prepared and remaining ingredients
to skillet and stir fry for 3-5 minutes. Allow mixture
to cool before preparing egg rolls. Spoon mixture onto
center of egg roll wrapper. Roll wrapper, tucking in the
ends, and use a damp finger to coat the final edge of
wrapper before lightly pressing to seal. Fry in hot oil
for 3-4 minutes; remove from oil, drain and serve. |
