Shrimp Gumbo Recipe |

Recipe Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 lbs. Shrimp, uncooked, cleaned
- 14 1/2 oz. can Chicken Broth
- 14 1/2 oz. can Tomatoes, diced, drained
- 1 1/2 cups Celery, chopped
- 1 1/2 cups Onions, chopped
- 1 cup Green Bell Pepper, chopped
- 1 1/2 cups Okra, frozen, sliced
- 3 Garlic Cloves, minced
- 3 tbsp. Oil
- 3 tbsp. Flour
- 1 tsp Cajun Seasoning

| Recipe Preparation:
Heat oil in large skillet over medium-high heat until
hot. Using a wire whisk, stir in flour, cooking for 5
minutes or until mixture turns a brownish color, stirring
constantly add in celery, onions and bell pepper. Cook
for 4-5 minutes until softened. Add garlic, stirring constantly
for 1 minute or again until softened. Add broth, tomatoes,
okra and seasoning, mix well. Bring to a boil. Reduce
heat to low, cook 25-30 minutes with partially covered
lid, stir occasionally. Add shrimp, cook for another 10
minutes. Serve over rice, if desired. |
