The majority of moose calves are twins. This old cow moose has been on
our property for many years and has always had twin calves. Calf moose
are easy prey to bears when they first born and if they are fortunate
enough to survive the first months of their lives they have a hard cold
winter to endure. When spring time arrives once again mamma moose is once
again ready to give birth to her next generation.
