Previous | Home | NextFireweed grows all over Alaska and is made into jellies and used for salads. It is said when Fireweed is bloomed to the top of the plant "Summer is over" and the salmon are runs are at the end. Fireweed generally begin to bloom in early July and finish in mid August.
